Sun Valley in the summer is pretty fabulous! The mountain air, the hikes, the exploring, the food, the friends- all so good! Here’s a recap of a 4-day girls’ trip getaway in late June. We had a lot of catching up to do with each other, and our goal was to hike every day, have good meals, explore town, and have lots of downtime to chat! The wildflowers were out, the sun was shining (most of the time), the laughter was constant and it was a great trip.
Day 1:
Everyone arrives in Ketchum
Grocery shopping to stock up
Dinner at home
Day 2:
Hike at Adams Gulch
Late lunch at Bigwood Breads Bakery Cafe (So good – bowls, wraps, fresh everything! Wish there was one near me!)
Lazy afternoon
Dinner at Cookbook Restaurant (tiny place with maybe 5 tables that was so delicious!)
Day 3:
Hike from Fox Creek Trailhead
Explored Iconoclast bookstore in Hailey
Lunch at home
Some played Pickleball with an instructor in the afternoon while others wandered/shopped (Sway, Theodore, Silver Creek Outfitters) in town
Chef came and prepared an amazing dinner for us at home! Wonderful, delicious evening.
Day 4:
Hiked Proctor Loop Trail
Wandered/shopped at Sun Valley Lodge area
Grocery store
Late lunch/early dinner at home
Amazing Elle King concert near Sun Valley Lodge
Day 5:
Headed home!
